1. Background
In order to promote women’s economic empowerment and support vulnerable households, Momtaz Community Foundation (MCF) SIBO implemented a sewing machines distribution program for trained women. This activity was conducted as a follow-up to previously completed tailoring (sewing) training courses and aimed to provide graduates with the necessary tools to begin income-generating activities.
The initiative was designed to address unemployment and financial dependency among women by enabling them to utilize their acquired skills in a practical and sustainable manner.

2. Objectives of the Distribution
The main objectives of this distribution were:
- To enhance the financial independence of women trained in tailoring skills
- To support household livelihoods through sustainable income-generation opportunities
- To enable women to apply their technical skills in real market conditions
- To encourage women’s participation in the local economy

3. Target Beneficiaries
A total of 30 women were selected as beneficiaries of this program. The selection criteria included:
- Successful completion of tailoring training courses
- Belonging to low-income and vulnerable households
- Demonstrated motivation to start or expand sewing-related income activities
4. Type of Assistance Provided
Each selected beneficiary received:
- One sewing machine (complete and ready for use)
The sewing machines were provided as productive assets to support long-term income generation rather than short-term assistance.
5. Distribution Process
The distribution was carried out in a transparent and well-organized manner under the supervision of Momtaz Community Foundation staff.
Key steps included:
- Verification of training completion records
- Registration of beneficiaries prior to distribution
- Orientation on proper use and maintenance of sewing machines
- Distribution of sewing machines with proper documentation
6. Expected Outcomes
Through the provision of sewing machines, beneficiary women are expected to:
- Produce garments and tailoring products for sale in local markets
- Offer sewing services to community members on a fee basis
- Contribute to household income and improve family living standards
- Move toward sustainable self-reliance and economic stability
7. Results and Impact
- Successfully distributed 30 sewing machines to trained women
- Enabled beneficiaries to immediately start income-generating activities
- Strengthened the link between skills training and economic opportunity
- Contributed to women’s empowerment and social inclusion
8. Conclusion
The distribution of sewing machines to trained women was successfully implemented by Momtaz Community Foundation. This activity played a critical role in transforming vocational training into practical livelihood opportunities, supporting women’s financial independence, and strengthening household resilience.
